Whilst it may not be a huge deal, we thought it was good to see that the OPAL Fuels Inc. (NASDAQ:OPAL) Independent Director, Scott Dols, recently bought US$77k worth of stock, for US$2.04 per share. While we're hesitant to get too excited about a purchase of that size, we do note it increased their holding by a solid 19%.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At OPAL Fuels

The Co-Chief Executive Officer Adam Comora made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for US$92k worth of shares at a price of US$2.32 each. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, even at a higher price than the current share price (being US$2.16). It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company. To us, it's very important to consider the price insiders pay for shares. It is generally more encouraging if they paid above the current price, as it suggests they saw value, even at higher levels.
