Dhahran - Saudi Aramco, a world-leading integrated energy and chemicals company, in partnership with the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and in collaboration with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and the General Administration of Education in the Eastern Province, organized the FIFA Schools Program in the Kingdom, which concluded in Dhahran.
The activities continued for three days from December 10 to 12, and included a two-day diploma program designed for physical education teachers, combining life skills training with practical training in the field. The program also included an accompanying competition for school students, during which the winning students were crowned, followed by the organization of the FIFA Schools Festival with the participation of more than 552 students, and 80 teachers and coaches.
The organization of the program’s activities comes within Saudi Aramco’s efforts in the field of citizenship, based on its role as one of the leading companies in enhancing the quality of life through various initiatives that work to prepare and empower future generations, and contribute positively to society, as the program combines football and education.
On this occasion, Mr. Nabil bin Abdullah Al-Jamea, Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Support Services at Saudi Aramco, said: “The organization of these events coincides with the Kingdom’s winning of the bid to host the 2034 World Cup, so we are proud to be part of the mission to develop sports and make them available to all in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030, as this has an effective impact on health and quality of life. Our partnership in this program with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and in cooperation with the Saudi Football Federation and the General Administration of Education in the Eastern Province reflects our ambition to empower communities, and contributes to expanding our support for sports, and harnessing its power to make an impact around the world and in the Kingdom in particular.”
