Live: Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, said that US President Donald Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE reflects the advanced status the region occupies in US foreign policy.
In an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat on Monday, Eric Trump explained that the US president's tour, his first foreign visit since his election, carries a clear message that the Gulf is a key partner in global security and regional stability.
Eric indicated that the President holds the region's leaders in high regard, particularly in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, and Doha, emphasizing the exceptional relations that unite them.
He added, "I know some of these leaders personally, and I know full well that the president trusts them, respects them, and considers them true friends. Today, they have a true friend in the White House."
He pointed out that his father, President Trump, is fully committed to supporting security and stability in the Gulf, stressing that "the region's leaders know this and trust him because he has fulfilled his commitments to them in the past."
"They saw how American weakness led to a dangerous power vacuum, and they saw the results as peace turned to chaos and the sky filled with missiles every day," he said.
Eric Trump concluded by emphasizing that "the era of peace will return, and the Commander-in-Chief of the US Armed Forces will be in Washington to help protect the security of the Gulf and stand by its people, because he knows them well and believes in the importance of their friendship."
