Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) announced the readiness of the national payment system "mada" to enable holders of JCB International cards to make electronic payments through point-of-sale devices and cash withdrawals from ATMs.

The Central Bank explained, in a statement issued today, Monday, that this service aims to improve the experience of visitors to the Kingdom who hold JCBI cards, and facilitate their financial transactions through participating local banks and licensed payment service providers.

He pointed out that this step is a continuation of the efforts of the Saudi Central Bank in developing the payment infrastructure and providing advanced electronic payment services; to provide various solutions that will contribute to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

He also pointed out that this step contributes to meeting the needs of visitors to the Kingdom, by expanding the scope of acceptance of global payment networks in the Kingdom, towards the transformation into a digital society less dependent on cash, which contributes to the growth of payment digitization indicators.
