Riyadh - Mubasher: The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information announced the launch of the "Supporting Decision-Making Using Geospatial Intelligence" initiative, which relies on developing the main geospatial analyses by implementing the most widely used geospatial analyses.

This initiative is based on integration with the "Saudi Geo Hub" initiative, which was previously launched by Geospatial, to be the central incubator for geospatial data and tools supporting reliable decision-making, according to the Saudi Press Agency "SPA", today, Wednesday.

The initiative includes the creation and implementation of the most widely used geospatial analyses, such as spatial and temporal analysis, proximity and spatial extension analysis, crowding and clustering detection, change detection, 3D and terrain modeling, predictive modeling and trend analysis.

The announcement of the launch of this initiative comes within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation concluded by Geospatial with the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI). Geospatial was represented in signing the memorandum by the President of the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information, Dr. Eng. Mohammed bin Yahya Al Sayel, and the institute was represented by the founding president of the institute, Jacques Desjarmond.

It is noteworthy that Geospatial works - according to its organization - to adopt and develop the national geospatial infrastructure and provide geospatial data to achieve the integrated use of the geospatial information system among the relevant parties.
