Riyadh - Mubasher: The Chairman of the Capital Market Authority (CMA), Mohammed Al-Quwaiz, said that the Authority has 50 files for offering on the Saudi Stock Exchange, and a number of agreements signed with financial advisors for the purposes of the offering are being discussed.
Al-Quwaiz added, during a dialogue session within the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh today, Thursday, that these agreements give an idea of the continuity of the size and number of offerings, which reflects the economic activity and movement in the Kingdom.
He pointed out that foreign investment in the Saudi market has exceeded 400 billion riyals and the momentum is still continuing, in light of the Kingdom's economic activity and performance and future expectations.
He also pointed out that foreign investors are more willing to participate in offerings from the secondary market and play their role in pricing the offerings.
Al-Qwaiz noted that among the factors attracting foreign investments are the regulatory amendments, especially since the Authority is in the process of reviewing the rules for opening investment accounts soon, in addition to treating residents of the Gulf countries as residents of the Kingdom, which expands the scope of investment.
