With the support of the French Embassy in Egypt, and in cooperation with Mansour Group/Manfoods and Hyper One
Cairo : As part of its commitment to supporting local communities and empowering youth to ensure community engagement, Bel Egypt, a global leader in healthy cheeses and snacks, announced the launch of its new "Brighter Future" initiative. This initiative aims to empower underprivileged youth through vocational training and development programs, opening new horizons for a stable life. The initiative is a collaboration with Samusocial International – Egypt, a non-profit organization specializing in supporting vulnerable youth, and is supported by the French Embassy in Egypt, with the participation of private sector partners Mansour Group/Manfoods and Hyper One. This partnership embodies Bel Egypt's commitment to sustainable growth and creating a positive social impact that extends beyond its business operations.
The signing ceremony took place at the French Embassy in Cairo, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Eric Chevallier, Ambassador of France to Egypt, and Professor Dr. Marianne Amir Azer, former Member of Parliament and member of the Board of Directors of the National Council for Women. The agreement was signed by Mr. Hani Aram, Regional Director of Bell Egypt and North East Africa; Ms. Geraldine Samir Tawfik, Director of Samusocial International – Egypt; Ms. Nada Khader, Managing Director of GTC, a subsidiary of the Mansour Group; and Mr. Karim El Hawary, Executive Vice Chairman of Hyper One.
The "Brighter Future" initiative focuses on supporting young people over the age of 18 who have left care institutions across Egypt's governorates by equipping them with practical skills and specialized training to enter the job market. The initiative is based on two main pillars: training and employment. It provides over 45,000 training hours to 1,500 young men and women, followed by access to diverse job opportunities within Bel Egypt and its private sector partners.
Commenting on the initiative, His Excellency the French Ambassador to Egypt , Mr. Eric Chevallier, said: “This initiative is a prime example of the strength of the partnership between Egypt and France in supporting and empowering young people to build their future. Youth employment is not just about developing skills; it is the foundation of sustainable development and building more resilient societies. Through cooperation based on a shared vision and effective partnership, we can create a lasting impact that changes lives and enhances the opportunities available to them. We are proud of France’s role in supporting Egypt to achieve equality, social inclusion, and opportunities for every young man and woman.”
Hani Aram, Regional Director of Bell Egypt and North East Africa, stated: “At Bell Egypt, we believe that social responsibility is not a side issue, but rather the core of our mission. Through the Brighter Future initiative, we seek to stand by young people who grew up in care institutions and have begun their journey towards an independent life. This stage represents a crucial turning point in their lives, and with the right training and support, they can become active and influential members of their communities. We are proud of our collaboration with our partners in the public, private, and civil society sectors to transform this belief into a tangible and sustainable reality.”
Geraldine Samir Tawfik, representative of Samusocial International Egypt, stated: “This collaboration with Bel Egypt, Mansour/Manfoods Group, and Hyper One represents a real starting point for a large number of young people leaving care institutions. We are not only providing them with training and employment opportunities, but also giving them a real opportunity for integration, independence, and regaining self-confidence. This partnership is a model to be emulated in how the private sector can contribute to creating equal opportunities and achieving real change in the lives of individuals.”
This initiative serves as a practical model for integrating efforts between the private sector and civil society to achieve sustainable social value. Through this collaboration, Bel Masr and its partners contribute to reducing social exclusion, developing local skills, and promoting economic empowerment, thus ensuring every participant has the opportunity to build a stable future.
This initiative also aligns with Bell's global " For All, For Good " mission, which places sustainability and growth at the heart of its expansion model by supporting social inclusion and empowering communities. By implementing this mission in Egypt, Bell Egypt continues to contribute to achieving national goals aimed at reducing inequality, providing decent work, and building an inclusive, cohesive, and sustainable society.
The initiative aligns with Bell’s global mission of “For All, For Good,” which places sustainability and community empowerment at the heart of its growth model, through projects that support equality, expand job opportunities, and build a more inclusive society.
It is worth noting that the Brighter Future initiative is one of the first large-scale private sector initiatives in Egypt dedicated to supporting young people emerging from care institutions, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Through this project, Bel Egypt reaffirms its commitment to moving beyond its traditional role as a provider of healthy food, becoming an active partner in empowering youth and building a more cohesive and sustainable society.
