TASI records highest losses in 14 sessions, amid almost collective decline in sectors

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Tuesday's session with a noticeable decline, recording the highest losses in 14 sessions, amid a near-collective decline in sectors.
The general market index "TASI" closed down by 1.22%, the highest loss since the session of November 27, 2024, losing 148.01 points, falling to 11,948.72 points.
The trading value amounted to 4.8 billion riyals, with a quantity of 245.5 million shares distributed over 410.2 thousand transactions.
All sectors closed in red, except for the media and entertainment sector, which rose by 0.29%.
The banking sector led the losses among the major sectors after falling by 1.38%, while the energy sector declined by 1.25%, and the basic materials and communications sectors lost 1.24% and 0.73%, respectively.
In terms of stock performance, losses included 197 stocks, with Almarai topping the list with a decline of 4.27%, followed by Jahez with 4.23% and Budget Saudi Arabia with 3.71%, while the green color was limited to 32 stocks, with Safoula stock in the lead with 9.89%, followed by Al Taamir with 3.92%, and then Bawan with 3.84%.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Stock Market ended trading yesterday's session, Monday, with a rise of 0.31%, with gains of 37.20 points, reaching 12,096.73 points, in light of the positive performance of 10 sectors led by banks and energy.
