Acceptance of an investor’s request to restrict two class action lawsuits against executives in Al-Khodari Company

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Capital Market Authority (CMA) announced the issuance of two decisions by the Securities Disputes Resolution Committee, approving two requests to register two class action lawsuits filed by an investor against the CEO and some employees of Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Khodari Sons Company.
In accordance with the decisions of the Securities Disputes Resolution Committee, my request to restrict class actions was submitted against the CEO and some employees of Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Khodari Sons Company, against whom two final decisions were issued by the Securities Disputes Appeal Committee: Decision No. (3478/L.S./2024 AD for the year 1446 AH) announced on the website of the General Secretariat of the Securities Disputes Resolution Committees on November 7, 2024 AD, and Decision No. (3155/L.S./2023 AD for the year 1445 AH) announced on the website of the General Secretariat of the Securities Disputes Resolution Committees on June 13, 2024 AD.
The plaintiff requested that the defendants be obligated to compensate him for the losses resulting from the purchases he made of the company’s shares as a result of the violations committed .
The General Secretariat of the Securities Disputes Resolution Committees stated that any person who purchased the company’s shares from February 16, 2011, and held them until the end of trading on February 12, 2019, and any person who purchased the company’s shares from February 13, 2019, and held them until the company’s shares were suspended from trading on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) on April 1, 2019, has the right to submit to the committee a request to join the two aforementioned class actions, within a period of 90 days from the date of the Secretariat’s announcement published on December 26, 2024, based on Article (57) of the Securities Disputes Resolution Procedures Regulations .
The Capital Market Authority confirmed that the Securities Disputes Resolution Committee will consider the requests in accordance with the regulatory procedures, provided that the request is submitted through the Capital Market Authority’s electronic portal at the following link : Request to join a class action lawsuit (link).
