Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started trading on Sunday - the first day of the week - in green, with 14 sectors rising, led by basic materials .

The general index of the market "Tadawul" recorded a rise of 0.14 % , gaining 17.20 points, rising to 11876.6 points, by 10:50 Saudi time .

The rise dominated the majority of the traded stocks, with 157 stocks. The list was topped by “Buruj Insurance” with 8.7%, followed by “Medgulf Insurance” with 6.45%, then “ACIG” with 4.5%.

While 53 stocks declined, led by Almarai by 1.7%, then Anaam Holding by 1.5%, followed by Saudi Cables by 1.3%.

The green color dominated the performance of the sectors, led by the insurance sector, which rose by 1.51%, the basic materials sector rose by 0.39%, and 3 major sectors fell, led by the energy sector by 0.33%, the communications sector fell by 0.23%, and the banks fell by 0.07%.

The general index of the market "TASI" recorded a decline of 0.28% during the week ending on December 26, 2024 , losing 32.97 points of its value, falling to 11,859.47 points .
