Shura Council approves agreement and two memoranda of understanding with 3 countries and directs demands to “Hadaf”

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Shura Council held its 14th regular session for the first year of the ninth term today, Tuesday, headed by the Council’s Vice President, Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Sulami.

The Council approved a draft agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Republic of Guinea in the field of air transport services, according to what the Shura Council published on its account on the X platform.

The Shura Council approved a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Energy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment in the Republic of Finland in the field of energy, and a draft memorandum of understanding between the National Center of Meteorology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Meteorological Office in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the field of meteorology .

In a separate context, the Shura Council issued, during the same session, a decision regarding the annual report of the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf) for the fiscal year 1444/1445 AH, after listening to the viewpoint of the Human Resources and Social Development Committee .

The Shura Council called on the Human Resources Development Fund to accelerate technical and informational linkage with entities whose work intersects with its work, with the aim of accelerating appropriate decision-making, and for the Fund to coordinate with the National Development Fund to increase the efficiency of revenue generation and settlement of accounts with the relevant government agencies, in order to achieve financial sustainability and implement its programs and initiatives .

The Shura Council also issued a decision regarding the annual report of the Cultural Development Fund for the fiscal year 1444/1445 AH, after listening to the viewpoint of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee .

The Council requested the Cultural Development Fund to study the connection between the Internal Audit Department and the Governance, Risk and Compliance Department with the Fund’s Board of Directors, and to work on an initiative concerned with private museums registered by the Ministry of Culture, to develop and preserve them .

The Shura Council urged the Fund to create programmes aimed at developing its services provided to beneficiaries with disabilities through comprehensive access programmes in the sectors it funds, enabling them to benefit from its services. This is an additional recommendation submitted by Council member Aisha Arishi, and the Committee adopted its content.

The Council also requested the Fund to build partnerships and cooperate with universities to support research and innovations and transform them into cultural and economic products. This is an additional recommendation submitted by Council members Ali Al-Lahem and Musleh Al-Harthi, and an additional recommendation submitted by Council member Zaher Al-Shahri, the content of which the Committee adopted.
