Riyadh - Mubasher: The Council of Ministers approved, during its weekly meeting held today, Tuesday, headed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the salary scale for engineering jobs.

The Cabinet approved today, Tuesday, December 17, 2024, the engineering job salary scale, which will come into effect as of December 31, 2024, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Human Development.

The decision targets government employees who hold engineering positions according to the Saudi Unified Classification of Professions, who are on the general employee salary scale and hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the engineering specializations from Saudi or recognized universities.

The new engineering job list and salary scale included a number of developmental aspects for the engineering sector through the transformation of the career path for engineers from the general employee salary scale to the professional path on the new scale and progression according to the specified engineering professional categories: (engineer, associate engineer, professional engineer, consulting engineer), in accordance with the system for practicing engineering professions and professional accreditation from the Saudi Council of Engineers and the Saudi Unified Classification of Professions.

According to the statement, the new salary scale will contribute to creating an attractive and stimulating work environment for engineering competencies in the government sector, and raising the level of professional practice for engineers.

During its meeting today, the Council also approved the standard incentives for the industrial sector, and the approval of the final accounts of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises and Bisha University for the previous fiscal year, in addition to approving the organizational arrangements for the National Center for Marine Information.
