10 countries account for 78% of Qatari private sector exports

Doha - Mubasher: Ten countries accounted for 78%, worth QAR 2 billion, of the total value of Qatari private sector exports according to certificates of origin issued during the third quarter of 2024, which amounted to QAR 2.56 billion, including 3 GCC countries, according to a statement by the Qatar Chamber on Sunday.
India topped the list of the most important trading partners according to the countries that represented the destinations for private sector exports during the mentioned third quarter, receiving exports worth 442.1 million riyals, representing 17.3% of the total, followed by the Netherlands with 375.3 million riyals, representing 14.7%, then the United Arab Emirates with 280.3 million riyals, or 11%.
In fourth place came China, which received Qatari exports worth 189.6 million riyals, representing 7.4% of the total. In fifth place came the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with 156.5 million riyals, representing 6.1%, then the Sultanate of Oman with 5.8% and a value of 148.2 million riyals.
Bangladesh came in seventh place, receiving exports worth 108.3 million riyals, or 4.2% of total exports. Germany came in eighth place, receiving exports worth 104.6 million riyals, or 4.1%. They were followed by Morocco, with exports worth 100.1 million riyals, or 3.9%, and Turkey, with exports worth 91.2 million riyals, or 3.6% of the total.
Destinations by economic blocs
The Asian group of countries (excluding the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Arab countries) maintained its lead in the list of the most important destinations for Qatari private sector exports, according to certificates of origin issued by the Chamber during the third quarter of 2024, with a value of 1.02 billion riyals, representing 40.06% of the total.
The second place went to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which received 25.71% of total exports, worth 657.55 million riyals, followed by the European Union countries, which received exports worth 631.66 million riyals, representing 24.70% of the total.
In fourth place came the group of Arab countries (excluding the Gulf Cooperation Council countries) with exports worth 160.35 million riyals, representing 6.27%, followed by a group of other European countries with a value of 47.82 million riyals, representing 1.87%, then African countries, excluding Arab African countries, with 23.17 million riyals.
Oceania countries ranked seventh, receiving exports worth 5.18 million riyals, followed by the group of other American countries with 4.89 million riyals, then the United States of America with 2.41 million riyals.
According to the report, the number of countries that received Qatari private sector exports during the third quarter of the year reached 101 countries, including the nine economic regions.
The group of African countries came first in terms of number, with 27 countries, followed by the group of Asian countries with 23 countries, followed by the group of European Union countries with 17 countries, then the group of Arab countries excluding the Gulf countries with 14 countries, and other American countries with 7 countries.
According to the report, the group of Gulf Cooperation Council countries and other European countries came with 5 countries each, two countries in Oceania, and the United States of America.
