Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The UAE stock market indices rose at the end of trading this week, amid fears of a global trade war.

At the end of this week's trading, the Dubai Financial Market index rose by 2.34 percent to 5,361 points, compared to 5,238 points at the end of last week's trading.

The market value of Dubai stocks reached 935.02 billion dirhams at the close of trading this week, compared to 915.290 billion dirhams at the close of trading last week, with gains amounting to 20.412 billion dirhams.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Market index also rose by 0.40 percent to 9,625 points at the close of trading this week, compared to 9,586 points at the close of trading this week.

The market value of Abu Dhabi shares reached 2.992 trillion dirhams at the close of trading this week, compared to 2.998 trillion dirhams at the close of trading last week, with losses amounting to 6 billion dirhams.

At the close of trading in January 2025 , the Dubai Financial Market index rose by 0.42 percent to 5,180 points, compared to 5,158 points at the end of December 2024 .

The market value of Dubai stocks reached 902.189 billion dirhams at the close of trading in January 2025, compared to 905.933 billion dirhams at the close of trading last month, with losses amounting to 3.744 billion dirhams .

The Abu Dhabi Securities Market index also rose by 1.77 percent to 9,586 points at the close of trading in January 2025, compared to 9,419 points at the close of trading last December .

The market value of Abu Dhabi shares reached 2.984 trillion dirhams at the close of trading in January 2025, compared to 3.002 trillion dirhams at the close of trading last year, with losses amounting to 18 billion dirhams .

By the end of 2024, the UAE financial markets added about 257 billion dirhams to their market value, as the market value of the shares of the Dubai and Abu Dhabi markets exceeded 3.905 trillion dirhams at the end of this year, compared to about 3.648 trillion dirhams at the end of 2023 .

The market value of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange grew to 2.998 trillion dirhams at the end of the session on December 31, 2024, compared to the last market session in 2023, when the market value reached about 2.961 trillion dirhams .
