Cairo - Mubasher: Egyptians were the sole buyers of stocks on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Sunday, the first session of the week, with a net turnover of EGP 80 million.

While Arab and foreign investors tended towards selling, with a net value of 32.03 million pounds and 48.02 million pounds, respectively.

Institutional transactions varied, with local banks buying at a net EGP 129.5 million, foreign banks selling at a net EGP 47.8 million, and Arab banks selling at a net EGP 18.5 million.

The main index, EGX30, rose 0.15% to close at 31,338.34 points, with the Commercial International Bank (CIB) declining by 0.44%.

The EGX70 Equal Weight Index for Small and Medium Enterprises rose by 0.97% to close at 8,872.19 points, while the broader EGX100 Equal Weight Index rose by 0.72% to close at 12,298.25 points.

A total of 1.4 billion shares were traded, with a trading value of EGP 3.8 billion, through 103,900 transactions. 210 shares were traded during the session, with 80 shares rising, 84 shares declining, and 46 shares remaining unchanged.
