- (The Insurer) - Goldman Sachs-backed broker consolidator Clear Group has acquired London-based broker Moore Robinson Limited.

The acquisition will add to Clear’s growing UK retail arm, and follows the consolidator’s recent deals for Phelan Caswell in Ireland and specialist schemes business CoverMarque.

Established in 1987, Moore Robinson is an independent broker that specialises in placing and managing property portfolios and construction projects for property investors, developers and managing agents. The team also provides insurance solutions for high net worth clients.

Founder Robin Moore and his colleagues will join with the corporate team at Clear.

Clear Group has been on an expansion drive since Goldman Sachs Asset Management acquired a majority stake in the company in June 2022. As part of the deal, ECI Partners exited the business after a four-year partnership.

The firm has completed more than 20 acquisitions since the Goldman Sachs buy-in, including four MGAs.
