- Euro zone financial markets are functioning well amid global turbulence and the European Central Bank is attentive to the impact of the U.S. dollar's depreciation, ECB President Christine Lagarde said on Friday.

"In Europe and in the euro area in particular, we have observed that market infrastructures and ... the bond market is functioning in an orderly fashion," Lagarde told a press conference in Warsaw.

She added that the ECB did not target any particular exchange rate but remained attentive since market movements impact inflation and need to be factored into economic models.
