RIO DE JANEIRO, June 8 (Reuters) - Canada’s WestJet expects to put the carrier’s first Boeing 737 MAX 10 into service during the first three months of 2027, pending approvals from both U.S. and Canadian aircraft regulators, CEO Alexis von Hoensbroech said on Monday.
“We are hearing a lot of confidence both from Boeing and from the FAA that the certification is progressing,” he said in an interview on the sidelines of an airline summit in Brazil. Calgary-based WestJet is one of the first carriers expected to take deliveries of Boeing’s larger 737 MAX 10 variant.
