The U.S. Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis is scheduled to release international trade data for April, with deficit set to narrow to $56.1 billion in April from $60.3 billion in March. Separately, the National Association of Realtors will report May existing home sales, which are expected to increase to 4.07 million units from 4.02 million in April.

J.M. Smucker is expected to report a rise in its third-quarter earnings. Investors are likely to watch for comments on pricing actions, the impact of rising economic uncertainty on consumer sentiment and the annual forecast.

Citigroup CFO Gonzalo Luchetti, Wells Fargo CFO Mike Santomassimo and Bank of America co-President Jim DeMare are scheduled to speak at Morgan Stanley’s U.S. Financials Conference. Morgan Stanley CEO Ted Pick will also address the event, while PNC CEO William Demchak and CFO Robert Q. Reilly are set to discuss business performance and strategy at the same conference in New York City.

Statistics Canada is set to release April trade data, with the country’s trade balance expected to post a surplus of C$2.57 billion.

In Latin America, May inflation data for Brazil and Mexico is set to be released. Mexico's national statistics agency, INEGI, is scheduled to report annual inflation rate likely rose 4.03% in May from 4.45% in April, with the National Consumer Price Index falling 0.12% in May after rising 0.20% in April. Core inflation likely increased 4.20% annually, with both goods and services rising 0.24%. The agency will also publish its producer price index for May. Meanwhile, Argentina is scheduled to report its April industrial output.
