Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Margins firm as Atlantic basin inventories fall

- Northwest European gasoline refining margins rose to about $7.85 a barrel on Thursday amid a fall in inventories on both sides of the Atlantic.

  • Gasoline stocks held in independent storage in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage hub dropped by 6.5% in the week to 919,000 metric tons, data from Dutch consultancy Insights Global showed on Thursday.

  • U.S. gasoline stocks USOILG=ECI fell by 669,000 barrels, Energy Information Administration data showed, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 208,000-barrel rise.

  • A total of 10,000 tons of Eurobob E5 barges traded, down from 12,000 tons the previous session. Varo sold to Trafigura and BP.

  • Another 21,000 tons of Eurobob E10 traded, up from 12,000 tons, as Exxon and Shell sold barges to Total, BP and Varo.
