PRESSR: Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University discusses its work plans for the next phase

The Board of Trustees of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University held its second meeting for the academic year 2023/2024, chaired by His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, and attended by Their Excellencies the members of the Board, during which the university’s work plans for the next phase were discussed.
The Council discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including the features of the strategic plan and work priorities during the next three years from 2024 to 2026, to consolidate the university’s position and competitiveness, keep pace with future trends, adopt new work methods, enhance partnerships, and sustain the university’s work and services. The Council also discussed University annual budget for the year 2024.
His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer stressed the Board of Trustees’ keenness to advance specialized educational and research programs, support creativity and innovation in the educational system, and consolidate the university’s position to be among the best leading smart education and innovation institutions in the world, in addition to enhancing its role in keeping pace with future requirements.
During the meeting, the university’s focus areas were reviewed, in line with the development plans of the Emirate of Dubai, and meeting the growing demand for smart higher education, vocational training, and continuous learning based on innovation.
The meeting also discussed the university’s future initiatives, which aim to provide specializations according to the needs and requirements of the market, empower youth and support competencies and talents, in addition to promoting the culture of entrepreneurship and sustainability, as advanced technology applications, artificial intelligence and cloud computing systems are set to play a pivotal role in achieving these goals. In light of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University’s commitment to academic excellence and technological advancement.
