PRESSR: Qatar Tourism announces the names of the jury members for the “Qatar Tourism Awards” programme.

Qatar Tourism announced the formation of a distinguished jury consisting of seven judges for the inaugural edition of the “Qatar Tourism Awards” program, which is a program aimed at honoring the most prominent contributions and efforts made by partners in the tourism sector to provide distinct and exceptional tourism experiences in Qatar .

The committee is responsible for evaluating the businesses of tourism companies that excel in three main categories: cultural experiences, smart solutions, and service excellence. Each of which highlights certain aspects of the visitor experience. In addition, the Qatar Tourism Awards will include the community aspect, by presenting the Qatar Tourism Award for Community Experience and Hospitality, to honor initiatives that have a positive impact in providing an authentic tourism experience for visitors to Qatar and discovering the hospitality of its people, which was clearly expressed during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The jury includes a number of experts and specialists in this field, including: Sheikha Al-Anoud bint Hamad Al Thani, Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer at the Qatar Financial Centre; Dr. Abdullah Al Mehshadi, CEO of Al Waab City; Mr. Ramzan Al Nuaimi, Founder and CEO of Innovation Café; Mr. Khaled Al-Jumaili, TV presenter; Dr. Rana Sobh, Dean of the College of Business and Economics at Qatar University; Dr. Ghalia Al Thani, businesswoman and Qatar Foundation official; and Mr. Marcel Laser, Deputy Director for Development Assistance at the United Nations World Tourism Organization.

On this occasion, Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi, Head of the Tourism Marketing and Promotion Sector, said: “We are pleased that the distinguished jury members will participate in the inaugural Qatar Tourism Awards. The judging panel reviewed and evaluated more than 312 applications and created a shortlist of 147 applicants from across the tourism sector.
