PRESSR: Ajman Businesswomen Council holds its first meeting for the year 2024

Ajman Businesswomen Council held its first meeting for the year 2024, headed by Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of the Council - Member of the Board of Directors of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to discuss projects, initiatives and the Council’s work plan for the current year.

The meeting was attended at the headquarters of the Ajman Businesswomen Council by Aisha Khalfan Al Nuaimi, Vice President of the Council, members of the Board of Directors, Abeer Al Faraj, Director of the Ajman Businesswomen Council, and the Council’s employees.

The meeting discussed the programmes, projects and initiatives within the Council’s strategic plan for the current year, the efforts made to provide proactive initiatives that ensure the development of female business owners’ projects, and the Council’s plan for exhibitions, visits and targeted partnerships during the coming period.

The meeting reviewed the Council’s projects for the year 2024, including the 360° Forum, which aims to organize a group of awareness-raising dialogue sessions to introduce the Emirate of Ajman’s plan in the field of entrepreneurship to discuss challenges, ideas and innovative proposals in the fields of economy, education, sports, culture and entertainment, as well as the “Numken Program” concerned with implementing and developing a group of initiatives, including “Agricultural Entrepreneurship, Ryogi, Rowof, Business Clinic, and Culinary Arts Program.”

The council’s projects for the current year also include the “Live Healthy” program, a community program to raise health awareness and improve quality of life; the “Talaqi” program, which aims to organize a group of specialized councils and forums; the “Social Entrepreneurship” program, which aims to implement a package of educational activities and campaigns on the importance of economic projects with a social nature; the “Zam” program, which provides an opportunity for job seekers on a part-time basis; the “Nashe’” program, which organizes a group of events and exhibitions targeting secondary and university students with the aim of integrating and qualifying young people in the field of entrepreneurship; and the “Sayyarati” program, which aims to provide a car on a good loan basis for female members who wish to do so and who have obtained a “Bidayat” license.

During the meeting, the members discussed the mechanisms for implementing the programmes, initiatives and timetable in a manner consistent with increasing the benefit of female entrepreneurs from the programmes offered during the current year.

Dr. Amna Khalifa stressed that the Ajman Businesswomen Council is keen to implement a comprehensive training plan in cooperation with its partners from government and private entities in the fields of “management, marketing, feasibility studies, agriculture, product innovation, etc.” She also stated that the Council’s agenda of activities was in line with national events and occasions, noting that the Council is intensifying its current efforts to direct its members to benefit from and participate in the national domestic tourism campaign “The Most Beautiful Winter in the World.”

She commended the UAE government’s follow-up and keenness to support the development of businesswomen’s businesses and enhance their effective contribution to the GDP, stressing that the diversity of opportunities and available elements will enable businesswomen to achieve tangible accomplishments and increase their direct impact on the economy.

She pointed out that the Ajman Businesswomen Council seeks to strengthen its relations with businesswomen by increasing field visits, in addition to expanding the scope of its partnerships, as the Council signed 3 cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding during the month of January.

The members of the Ajman Businesswomen Board of Directors praised the momentum and diversity of the Council’s plan for the current year, which will positively reflect on empowering women and enhancing their participation in the comprehensive development process, so that their empowerment becomes a driver for economic and social progress, in support of the Council’s vision aimed at advancing the role of women, empowering them and motivating them to become partners in the development process.
