Dubai: Dragon Oil, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dubai government, has opened its largest regional office outside the country in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, in the presence of a high-level official delegation from the Turkmenistan government, headed by Mr. Jovansh Aghajanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SC Turkmenbet.

The new office in Turkmenistan represents an important step for the company to achieve its strategic goals, such as entering the blue hydrogen industry by 2029, and increasing its investments by raising the oil production capacity in the Turkmen market, which currently stands at about 60 thousand barrels, or through renewable energy projects.
Dragon Oil aims to raise its current production of 180,000 barrels per day to 250,000 barrels per day in the natural growth of site production by the end of 2025, with Turkmenistan paying great attention to this expected increase.

Through the new office, we aim to enhance cooperation, in addition to it being a true example of the strong friendship between the UAE and Turkmenistan, which is confidently moving towards progress and prosperity thanks to the support of the leadership of the two countries and their keenness to strengthen it through positive partnerships that benefit everyone.”
Al Jarwan praised the achievements made in Turkmenistan in terms of development and prosperity under the leadership of His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedow, President of the Republic of Turkmenistan, expressing his wishes for further progress and growth for this friendly and dear country.
Al Jarwan pointed out that the new office has all the necessary facilities for work and has an integrated management of all the company’s departments at the main headquarters, which ensures smooth work, noting that the number of the company’s employees in Turkmenistan reaches more than 2,000 employees, and the new office will ensure their service and meet their requirements.
