PALM BEACH, Florida, Jan 3 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were seized in an overnight operation on Saturday and would face American justice, calling it one of the most successful military operations in U.S. history.

"This was one of the most stunning, effective and powerful displays of American military might and competence in American history," Trump told reporters at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

He said U.S. air, land and sea forces were used in the operation.
