Korro Bio, Inc. (NASDAQ:KRRO) insiders who purchased shares in the last 12 months were richly rewarded last week. The stock climbed by 28% resulting in a US$42m addition to the company’s market value. Put another way, the original US$2.30m acquisition is now worth US$2.74m.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

Korro Bio Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by insider Mohamad Makhzoumi for US$2.3m worth of shares, at about US$11.11 per share. Even though the purchase was made at a significantly lower price than the recent price (US$13.25), we still think insider buying is a positive. While it does suggest insiders consider the stock undervalued at lower prices, this transaction doesn't tell us much about what they think of current prices.
