Brazil, US to expand cooperation on organized crime and tax data, official says

- Brazil will work with the U.S. tax authority to intensify and prepare the ground for new cooperation agreements on organized crime, Tax Revenue Secretary Robinson Barreirinhas said in an interview with newspaper O Globo on Friday.

In April, the two countries launched a joint initiative involving the integration of data from Brazil's federal tax authority with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Brazil will now "seek more intense cooperation in terms of exchanging intelligence and information," Barreirinhas said.
