CONTEXT NEWS
Blackstone on July 23 reported just under $2 billion of earnings available to be distributed to shareholders, a key metric that strips out unrealized gains. The figure rose 26% from the same period a year prior.
Distributable earnings from the asset manager’s credit and insurance unit fell 6% year-over-year, but were roughly flat from the prior quarter, which saw steep declines.
