Canada trade surplus widens to C$2.72 billion in April
OTTAWA, June 9 (Reuters) - Canada's trade surplus widened to C$2.72 billion ($1.95 billion) in April, as exports grew faster than imports, Statistics Canada said on Tuesday.
Exports rose by 1.6%, on energy products, as well as farm, fishing and intermediate food products. Imports grew by 0.3%, on industrial chemical, plastic and rubber products, as well as electronic and electrical equipment and parts.
