CBOT Trends-Wheat up 1-5 cents, corn mixed, soybeans up 2-11 cents
CHICAGO, July 8 (Reuters) - The following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CDT (1330 GMT) on Wednesday.
WHEAT - Up 1 to 5 cents per bushel
Wheat futures ticked up alongside soybeans as grains markets shifted their focus toward the U.S. Department of Agriculture's monthly supply and demand report on Friday, when the agency will notably factor in its end-June acreage and stocks estimates.
Rainy weather expected in western, northern and central Ukraine over the next week could slow the harvesting of barley and wheat and have a negative impact on grain quality, the trading department of Ukraine's largest farmers' union UAC said.
CBOT September soft red winter wheat WU26 was up 1-3/4 cents at $6.20-1/4 per bushel. K.C. September hard red winter wheat KWU26 was last 4-3/4 cents higher at $6.57-1/2 per bushel, while Minneapolis September spring wheat MWEU26 was last up 4-3/4 cents at $6.37-3/4 per bushel.
CORN - Up 2 to down 2 cents per bushel
Corn was mixed, with attention turning to the USDA's upcoming supply-and-demand forecast.
Showers in the U.S. Midwest are expected on either side of a hotter, drier 6-10 day forecast, according to Commodity Weather Group, during a crucial development period for the crop.
There were no reports so far of Chinese purchases of U.S. corn, despite rumors that Beijing could book corn as well as soybeans from the U.S. GRA/
CBOT December corn CZ26 was down 1-1/4 cents at $4.63 per bushel.
SOYBEANS - Up 2 to 11 cents per bushel
Soybeans climbed on signs of Chinese purchases, hot weather in the Midwest crop belt and a surge in crude oil.
China bought at least five more cargoes of U.S. soybeans overnight, traders said on Wednesday, adding to a similar volume reported by traders on Monday.
Crude oil jumped more than 6% on Wednesday after U.S. President Donald Trump said the memorandum of understanding to end the Iran war was "over". O/R
CBOT November soybeans SX26 were last up 2-1/2 cents at $12.00-1/4 per bushel.
