Citigroup appoints Seifert and Ord to senior UK banking roles

LONDON, May 13 (Reuters) - Citigroup has made two hires in its investment bank in the UK, according to internal memos seen by Reuters and confirmed by a Citi spokesman. Joe Seifert is joining the bank as Vice Chair, UK Investment Banking, and Stuart Ord will join as Head of UK M&A.
Seifert will start in July and report to James Fleming, head of UK Investment Banking Coverage.
His banking experience has included clients in energy, mining, technology, infrastructure and industrials. Most recently Seifert has been CEO of EET Hydrogen, a low-carbon hydrogen project backed by the Essar Group. Previously Seifert worked at JPMorgan in London across capital markets and investment banking coverage.
Ord joins from Deutsche Bank where he was co-head of UK M&A. He will be based in London and will join the UK M&A team later this summer, reporting to Barry Weir and Robin Rousseau, co-Heads M&A, EMEA.
