LONDON, July 2 (Reuters) - Kuwait's crude oil production rose sharply to 1.65 million barrels per day in June, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Thursday, as the OPEC member boosts exports through the Gulf following the U.S.-Iran interim peace agreement.
Daily production rose to as high as 1.9 million bpd in the last 10 days of June, the source added.
A spokesperson for Kuwait Petroleum Corporation did not immediately reply to a Reuters request for comment.
May's production stood at about 580,000 bpd, the source said, well below pre-war levels of about 2.5 million bpd.
