May 11 (Reuters) - General Motors GM.N plans to cut a few hundred jobs from its information technology division, Bloomberg News reported on Monday.
The move will affect about 500 to 600 employees, according to the report, which cites people familiar with the matter.
"GM is transforming its Information Technology organization to better position the company for the future. As part of that work, we have made the difficult decision to eliminate certain roles globally," the Detroit automaker told Reuters in a statement on Monday.
