June 9 (Reuters) - Harley-Davidson HOG.N said on Tuesday it is bringing production of the Revolution Max engine platform for North America back to the U.S.
The motorbike maker uses the engine in its Sportster S, Nightster and Pan America 1250 models.
The move also brings machining, powertrain assembly, painting, and final vehicle assembly work back to Harley-Davidson's facilities in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
The company said its production transition is expected to be completed ahead of the start of Model Year 2028 production in 2027.
It expects to make over 100,000 motorcycles out of its York, Pennsylvania facility in 2027.
