IMF expects board meeting on $690 million Ukraine disbursement in coming weeks

- The International Monetary Fund said its executive board will meet in coming weeks to review a staff-level agreement reached with Ukraine that would pave the way for the war-torn country to receive a $690 million disbursement from its $8.1 billion loan.

IMF spokesperson Julie Kozack told a regular briefing that no specific date had been set for the meeting, but it was expected to occur in coming weeks.

She did not comment on whether IMF was satisfied with Kyiv's progress on meeting conditions for release of the second tranche of funding.
