We wouldn't blame Loar Holdings Inc. (NYSE:LOAR) shareholders if they were a little worried about the fact that Taiwo Danmola, the Independent Director recently netted about US$2.1m selling shares at an average price of US$60.59. That sale reduced their total holding by 39% which is hardly insignificant, but far from the worst we've seen.
The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Loar Holdings
In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when Independent Director Paul Levy bought US$4.9m worth of shares at a price of US$64.90 per share. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, even at a higher price than the current share price (being US$62.34). I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. A high insider ownership often makes company leadership more mindful of shareholder interests. Most shareholders would be happy to see this sort of insider ownership, since it suggests that management incentives are well aligned with other shareholders.
