INDIA STOCKS-Indian shares open lower after Trump's fresh Iran threat

- Indian shares opened lower on Wednesday, tracking broader Asian markets, as global bond yields and oil prices remained elevated following U.S. President Donald Trump's renewed threats to strike Iran.

The benchmark Nifty 50 .NSEI fell 0.68% to 23,457.25 and the BSE Sensex .BSESN lost 0.52% to 74,806.49, as of 9:15 a.m. IST.

All 16 major sectors opened lower, with broader small-caps .NIFSMCP100 and mid-caps .NIFMDCP100 down 0.5% and 0.6%, respectively.

Trump said that the U.S. may need to strike Iran again and that he had been an hour away from ordering an attack before postponing it.
