CAIRO, July 21 (Reuters) - Kuwait's foreign ministry summoned Iran's ambassador on Tuesday to protest against what it described as Tehran's targeting of Kuwaiti tanker Kaifan while it was transiting the Strait of Hormuz a day earlier.

The ministry said in a statement that several members of the tanker's crew suffered injuries as a result of the attack.
