May 27 (Reuters) - Investment bank Lazard LAZ.N has hired industry veteran Daniel Burton-Morgan to lead a newly created advisory role, a source familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.
The details of the move are below:
Burton-Morgan will be the head of equity capital markets advisory in North America, the source said
He moves from Bank of America BAC.N, where he led the ECM Americas financial sponsor origination
Neither bank responded to Reuters requests for comment
Burton-Morgan will report to Tim Donahue, co-head of North America financial advisory and global head of capital solutions, according to the source
The hire strengthens Lazard's ECM advisory franchise, which has operations in Paris and London, the source added
The move is part of the "Lazard 2030" strategy to expand the firm's managing director ranks, the person said
The hire underscores Lazard's push to recruit senior talent across both core industry sectors and emerging growth areas
It hired former Western Midstream Partners WES.N CEO Michael Ure as a senior adviser in its power, energy and infrastructure group earlier this month
