Leonardo S.p.A. has announced a significant achievement in its scientific research and development efforts with the successful qualification launch of the Italian SAMP/T NG Surface-to-Air Missile, featuring the company's latest-generation KRONOS Grand Mobile High Power Radar Sensor. The test, which has already taken place, demonstrated the radar's advanced performance by enabling the missile to intercept a target at a record distance for the Eurosam SAMP/T system during land trials. This confirms the KRONOS Grand Mobile High Power as a leading radar sensor for air and missile defence in Europe and marks a key milestone in the development of Leonardo's Michelangelo Security Dome system.
