Mexico vows to keep USMCA trade deal despite Trump's uncertainty

- Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on Thursday said that the trilateral free trade agreement the country holds with the United States and Canada, known as the USMCA, will be maintained.

On Wednesday U.S. President Donald Trump said the U.S. might not renew the free trade deal, claiming the country did not need anything from its North American counterparts.

The three countries need to approve a renewal of their existing agreement by July 1 or signal their intention to exit the pact.
