Omron Robotics and Italy's Comau partner to expand industrial automation
May 11 (Reuters) - Italian automation company Comau and U.S.-based Omron Robotics said on Monday they had signed a strategic collaboration agreement aimed at expanding automation solutions for industrial manufacturing.
The partnership aims to combine Comau’s robotics expertise with Omron’s technologies and software capabilities, the companies said in a statement. It will target high-growth sectors such as electronics, semiconductors, medical manufacturing and light industrial intralogistics, they added.
Omron Robotics is part of Japan-listed Omron 6645.T, while Comau is 50.1% owned by One Equity Partners and 49.9% by Stellantis STLAM.MI
