July 2 (Reuters) - Pembina Pipeline PPL.TO said on Thursday it has reached a positive final investment decision on the Greenlight Electricity Centre in Sturgeon County, within the Alberta Industrial Heartland, which is linked to major data centre development.

The total project cost is expected to be about C$4.6 billion ($3.25 billion), with net cost to Pembina at nearly C$2.3 billion, the company added.
