Poland - Factors to Watch July 7

NATO SUMMIT

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz will attend the NATO Summit in Turkey. The Polish delegation's most important demand is the expansion of the defence industry, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily reported.


INTEREST RATES

The Polish Monetary Policy Council (MPC) begins its two-day interest rate meeting on Tuesday. The MPC will publish its decision on Wednesday, and analysts polled by Reuters expect rates to remain unchanged.


US TROOP ROTATION IN POLAND

The United States has confirmed that it will resume within weeks a rotation of its troops in Poland after temporarily suspending the process, Polish Defence Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said on Monday.


DEFENCE PLAN

Britain, the Netherlands, Finland and Poland are making "significant progress" on the new Multilateral Defence Mechanism and aim to establish it by 2027, the countries said in a joint statement on Monday.


GAZ-SYSTEM

Polish pipeline operator Gaz-System said no market participants reserved additional capacity at an auction on the Poland-Ukraine interconnection on Monday.


KGHM

Poland's state-controlled copper and silver miner KGHM KGH.WA is exploring potential acquisitions outside Europe under its new strategy, including projects in Morocco, Argentina, Canada and the United States, Chief Executive Remigiusz Paszkiewicz said on Monday
