On Tuesday, the statistical office will release unemployment data for Poland in April. Analysts polled by Reuters estimate that the unemployment rate fell to 6.0% from 6.1% in March.
Polish retail sales rose much less than expected in April, the statistical office reported on Monday, potentially pointing to a slowdown in consumption in the second quarter, analysts said.
MIGRANTS IN POLAND
In 2025, foreigners working and living in Poland increased Poland's GDP by approximately 200-416 billion zlotys ($54.95 billion-$114.29 billion), or 5.1%-10.7%, Rzeczpospolita daily reported, citing the "Migration in Poland" report.
AMERICAN SOLDIERS IN POLAND
Polish Deputy Defence Minister Cezary Tomczyk said that the details of the presence of American troops in Poland have not yet been definitively determined.
Planning on the American side will be completed within the next four weeks, and then the final deployment of American forces in Europe will be known, Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
FUEL PRICES
Measures introduced by Poland to curb fuel prices growth caused by the Middle Eeast war should be extended by two weeks, Polish Energy Minister Milosz Motyka told Radio Zet on Tuesday.
NEW FAST FOOD CHAIN
Wendy's, the American fast food chain, is preparing to enter the Polish market. The first location is to open in a major city, but "it won't be in Warsaw," Rzeczpospolita daily reported, citing unofficial information.
