May 21 (Reuters) - Valero's VLO.N 290,000 barrel-per-day Corpus Christi East Plant refinery in Texas reported an unanticipated power disruption on Thursday that resulted in upset conditions in Complex 7, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality said.

The regulator said efforts are underway to restore operation of relevant equipment as quickly as possible.

"Flare control devices were utilized to minimize emissions while personnel worked to restore routine operations," the regulator added.
