SEI Investments Company has completed the first stage of a strategic investment in Stratos Wealth Holdings, acquiring approximately 57.5% of the equity in SEI-Eclipse Holding Company, which owns the U.S.-based Stratos business. SEI will pay a total cash consideration of around $544 million for this stake. The remaining 42.5% of equity will continue to be held by certain legacy Stratos equity holders, with put/call rights in place that could allow SEI to eventually acquire full ownership. Stratos will continue to operate under its own brand, led by founder and CEO Jeff Concepcion, while benefiting from SEI's technology, custody, operations, and asset management capabilities.
