RUPEE:
The Indian rupee INR=IN rose 0.5% versus the U.S. dollar to 95.2850, buoyed by a retreat in crude prices after U.S. President Donald Trump signalled that a deal with Iran is imminent, a development that could soften a persistent pressure point for the currency. INR/
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond IN069436G=CC was quoted at 100.3650 rupees, with the yield down nearly 4 bps at 6.8873%, supported by a decline in oil prices, as concerns over a major escalation in U.S.-Iran tensions eased.IN/
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate INR1YMIBROIS=CC was down 5.25 basis points at 5.97%, while the five-year swap rate INR5YMIBROIS=CC dropped more than 6.75 bps to 6.36%.
CALL MONEY:
India's overnight call money rate INROND= was at 5.00% and the overnight TREPS rate INTREPTOT=TCCL was at 5.17%.
