Taiwan central bank leaves benchmark rate unchanged at 2%, as expected
TAIPEI, June 18 (Reuters) - Taiwan's central bank kept its benchmark interest rate on hold on Thursday, as expected, given the strong performance of the island's tech-focused economy.
The central bank's decision to leave the benchmark discount rate TWINTR=ECI at 2% aligned with forecasts in a Reuters poll, where 27 of 30 economists projected no change in monetary policy.
