May 26 (Reuters) - BP BP.L ousted Chair Albert Manifold with immediate effect on Tuesday, citing governance standards, oversight and conduct issues, less than eight months after he took office to help oversee a strategy revamp, the latest in a string of scandals and leadership changes at the oil company.
Manifold's departure follows the 2023 dismissal of former CEO Bernard Looney and the abrupt exit of CEO Murray Auchincloss last year.
